Mega Man for Smash Bros.

Mission Complete!

Made-It Monday #9: Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch

Chances are if you’re reading this, you already ARE a member at Cutstuff, or at the very least, have heard of Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch. If you’re reading this and have not tried the game out yet, there’s no better time than now. The latest update has been released, and everything you need to play is included in the download link at the bottom. Well, you might also want DoomSeeker to help you find online games. Some rooms also use some additional WADs, which you can either find on the Cutstuff Forums or by Googling.

Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch was a project started by CutmanMike awhile back now that aimed to have all Robot Masters and weapons in a playable FPS shooter. Being an experienced Doom modder, CutmanMike worked hard to create nearly every map, weapon, story, and more. He eventually got some support, mostly with the sprites and other miscellaneous things, but there would be no project without CutmanMike. The game really is fantastic to play, and has come a long way now with other talented members adding their own mods and additions to it. Yet, it’s also a wonderful success story about how extraordinary projects can be made if there is a person who is talented and dedicated enough working on it.

I would like to see a special online session of Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch in the future, something like a ‘bring all your friends’ night. Hopefully an opportunity will come up that will align with that want, but until then, just continue to enjoy random sessions like I do!

I knew it was only a matter of time before you posted this, Press Start.
I’ve been a member of the Cutstuff community for almost a year now. I enjoy helping with the many MM8BDM projects going on.

To answer your question, Watzup, yes I do play it. Most people know me online by the name “Kapus.”
